About Gwynneth

Gwynneth van Jaarsveld

As an artist, I am inspired by the fact that our world did not just spontaneously come about. It was thoughtfully and lovingly designed and made for us. I like to see myself an "observer of beauty" and this is where all my creations originate. Something else that influences my work is that I have a visual impairment. Stargard's Dystrophy is a retinal condition that causes loss of central vision. I have to get real close to objects and images to observe detail. I believe that people overlook detail and beauty in the rush of their daily lives. I would like to inspire my audience to stop, look and recognize the fingerprints of our Creator on the world around them, and also on themselves.
