Reference Indian Man About "Proud" I travelled India at the end of 2006. We went up high into the northern parts of India. One night we attended a religious festival. This man came up to me and stared at me as if he has never seen another human being from another culture. My friend who speaks Hindi later explained that some has never seen other races and with my black hair he thought I was a goddess. His characteristic face, his eyes and vibrant colors inspired me to paint him. |
