About Maurine

I live in a small town in the Kalahari. As long as I can remenber I do portraits in pencil, but my dream was always to do oil on canvas. With this in mind I started my own arts shop in 1997 in Kakamas.
I likes to work with different mediums like acrylics and pastels, but oil and pencil remains my favourite. Stil life's and landscapes appeals to me because of the peacefulness and beauty of it. I am passionate about trying to achieve my very best artistic work and greatly values art and the way it helps to express myself. I sell most of my paintings from home to individuals, one being a French tourist.
