About "Red Poppies"

I painted these canvasses in reaction to Remembrance day this year, a time when most people in London are wearing red poppies in remembrance of those that gave their lives in the great wars of the last century.
The vibrant red symbolises the blood that flowed but also the vibrancy of the lives that were stolen. The angle is from the ground, looking up from the ground where the blood flowed to the sky, where a brighter future lay.
