Reference REF 216 About "Red Roses" These roses caught the light so beautifully and I tried to capture the transparency of the petals. I was so excited to see this and took a few photographs to later paint it in my studio. Painting the roses red I had to be so careful as not to let them turn out pink, so lightened the red with yellow. The background is painted portraying the little garden these roses were in and late afternoon sun made it all so colourful. |
