About "Sahib with Cobra and Bag"

Made for the annual "no signatures" exhibition at Cuyler Street Gallery, Port Elizabeth. I had been reading Jim Corbett's "Man Eaters of Kumaon" and loved the faded photograph of the hunter and his bag. I enjoyed introducing the lush colour of the jungle and the tiger. The hosepipe as a cobra was my little indulgence. Actually, the whole painting was a little indulgence.
