About "Salute"

I took this photo at Addo Elephant Park. After a day filled with exciting sightings, I decided to drive back out past the Harpoor Dam. I was greeted by the most remarkable sight – Around 150 elephants of all sizes had gathered at the dam for an evening drink, their skin stained pink in the sunset. Every direction you looked, from the distant horizon to uncomfortably close, buzzed with activity. This elephant was chasing another one with his trunk in the air.
