About "Shadows in the Garden"
I was recently married and was enjoying painting snippets of my new home. I still enjoy my home but venture further afield now for inspiration.

About Megan
Although I've always enjoyed making art, I had a late start in my artistic career, graduating from Unisa in 2014 at the age of 51 with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts.
I work from my home in Durban and regularly travel to the Seychelles where my husband Bernard has his roots. The island environment has influenced several sea- and sky-scapes. I work in oil paint, enjoying the luxurious tactile feel of oil on canvas, and subject matter is usually chosen for how it will allow me to explore the nature of paint. An interest in dollhouse miniatures has led me to produce smaller paintings, enjoying the intimacy of loved objects found around the home. My oil painting and miniatures sometimes overlap, with hand-made miniatures finding their way into still life compositions, or tiny original oil paintings decorating the walls of my dollhouses.
I take part in my local art community and am part of a book club comprised of fellow artists which has become known as The ArtBookClub, and regular exhibitions grow out of inspiration around books, wine and chats about life and the universe.
