About Miranda

WHY DO I PAINT:

I love stories. Words, poems and books are my main inspiration. I like to tell visual stories by making connections between disparate ideas. This calls for the viewer to create their own story while looking at an artwork. I am fascinated by the interactivity between my art and those who view it. I work only in acrylics and mixed media.

MY STORY

I am a mixed media artist and graphic designer based in Pretoria, South Africa. Although I studied architecture and then went on to work as a programmer and graphic designer, painting has always been a part of me. After being retrenched in 2009, I decided to rather work for myself. I am currently a freelance web and graphic designer, while exhibiting my paintings in the Pretoria area.
