About Mary-Anne

An artwork becomes a timeless masterpiece when it is able to silence the viewer by the magnitude and profoundness of it's beauty and simplicity. When the viewer is silenced of all thoughts and is able to rest the eye on beauty, then the work can be said to have gravity and will be timeless.

In this harsh world,the work of the artist becomes even greater to remind society of the beauty and the deeper more intangible aspects of mankind. It is the deeper, more silent parts of ourselves that give meaning to everything else.

My daily practice of Sahaja Yoga meditation allows me to feel the vibrations of all living things. Before commencing a work, I still my mind and request the Divine creativity to flow through me so as to create a work which speaks to the universal spirit in each of us, rather than to the ego.

I hope that my works will be enjoyed fully with silent minds and that they will inspire us to seek the beauty in all things.
