Most of my portraits are not inspired by anybody or anything
I usually have an urge to start a new painting and just work on the composition during the first painting session
At some time during the subsequent sessions I shall 'meet' the person I am busy painting and then complete it

About Celeste

Because I paint fast, acrylic is my preferred medium, I start off a painting with broad painting paintbrushes to allow for a spontaneous background and effect to occur, the painting is then pulled together with a finer brush. When I use oils I do not use brushes but paint with my fingers only. The smaller paintings I do, help me with problem solving in my larger works.
