About "Smiley the Clown"

Smiley the clown was painted from my memory and is framed with a most beautiful brown frame. I started with the nose, then the eyes and painted the art with my fingers. I wanted smiley to be impressionistic. He is joyful to look at and makes you smile. At that moment that he smiles, he enjoys it so much that he closes he eyes. Good for your busuness to keep everyone smiling.

About Mike

Mike Taljaard

I am inspired by the fact that I can create. There are so many things we need to be thankful for. I paint what inspires me and not what normally sells. The colors and combination of darkness and light motivate me to create what is in my mind. I like to paint with my fingers. I went through a stage in 2008 where I painted a clown every week. They are not copies of people but are created from my mind. I concentrate now on baroque art. I love painting reflections on water. Keep on keeping on.
