About "Table Mountain Cable Station " I have been painting "en plein air" since the beginning of the year and loving it. This has changed me and my work. To be out there with all the smells, sounds, rain and breezes, including sometimes the mighty South Easter. Somehow this gets portrayed in the works and they tend to have more to them that studio work. |

Carol Hadfield's adventures in art began in her teenage years, with pencil and charcoal portraits. That focus and passion returned in 2007 when she committed full time to art, at first dabbling in acrylics and watercolors and later oils. She fell in love with the versatility of oil paint, and this became her medium of choice. Subsequently, she returned to experimenting with watercolors and has rediscovered the freedom this medium provides.
