Growing up I was always attracted to things of a creative nature and one such aspect of this was the art of painting. I am impressed by the whole process of painting that starts from either a vision, a thought that then transform into something that tells a story through colour and form. Although very interested in the art of painting, I never pursued the idea until 1995 when I was working as a nurse in Saudi Arabia. I started doing silhouette water colour paintings. African art inspired me and most of my subjects were animals, traditional African figures and sunsets. I gradually adopted different approaches to the paintings I was doing and very soon produced bold and colourful paintings. I moved to the United Kingdom in 2001 and after my first exhibition at the annual staff and patient exhibition I was inspired to paint even more. Work colleagues and friends showed great interest in my work and very soon people were asking for paintings to purchase. I moved on to try oil painting and produced large works of oil on canvas. My paintings are inspired by events and every day happenings and although not abstract in nature, it portrays abstract thinking. Price Range US$ 95-184 Exhibitions Annual staff and patient exhibiton at Royal Brompton Hospital 2002 until present Education No formal art training.
