About Timo

I am inspired by the human form. Through my work I try to relate and conjure up emotions through the use of slight gestures and body language as well as subtle colours with play of light and shadow on the physique.
Atmospheric mood and the contrast between subtle textures and negative space to enhance the overall visual interaction is also a big factor when I create a work.
I love working with oils as it lends itself to endless possibilities and prospects which might even sometimes take you by surprise and determine the outcome of the piece.
