About Malgosia

Malgosia Le Bihan

I studied art for five years and worked as a textile designer until the studio moved to another province. Keen to explore alternate creative outlets, I tried my luck at architecture, found enormous success in this field, and enjoyed the attention to detail required in the technical drafting environment. The advent of computer technology and drafting software offered further challenges I was eager to explore and conquer. An engrossing and fulfilling career, a growing family, entrepreneurship, and financial obligations steered me further and further away from the world of art.

With maturity and the empty nest syndrome came the realization that my creative side has almost entirely been neglected. Encouraged by my family, I returned to sketching. True to my nature I continue to nurture my obsession with detail, technique, and realism. As always, setting very high standards for myself took me a while to gain the confidence needed to sell my art.

Still challenging myself and learning daily, my work is gaining popularity, and creating art has become my sole source of income and joy in life. My passion for Africa, its landscape, fauna, flora, and people inspire me. My imagination is fed by my surroundings and all living creatures within. The Kruger National and Pilansberg National parks are my happy place. There I find peace, plentiful reference material, nourish my soul and fill my body with positive energy.

I create lasting memories, cater primarily to commissioned art pieces, and have shipped my work worldwide.
