These flowers envoked a sense of calm in me.
The contrasting dark background with the soft lightness of the flowers makes it stand out and blend in at the same time. The brown background has a reddish underlay which peeps out gently given the right lighting, adding depth and warmth.

Alone amidst a thousand men
I crave, I grind and gnaw
My fingers itch, my temples burn
I count the seconds draw
My mind sees much, but time's a rush
I run through painters door
Then time will flee, I stand empty
the next day as before
I'll push my pen to paint again
and hope and long for painting more.
