I met Titus on a game farm in Namibia. I was impressed by his good natured and hard working persona. In the fierce heat of the day he would still have energy for a smile and good humor.

About Colin

Colin Eksteen started painting in August 2000. "Although I have have had no formal art training, I served my 'apprenticeship' by successfully copying 80 famous paintings by the Impressionists and various abstract artists for LIPCO, a Law firm in S.A.
My true passion is Namibia and its'people, namely, the HIMBA tribe of Kaokoland. I recently spent a month with the Himba gathering reference material, which was a life changing experience for me that will always cause me to strive to capture the enchanting character of these beautiful people on canvas.
I hope my paintings convey the spirit in which they were painted."
