Reference Acrylic 3 About "Triumphant" This is not a botanical illustration, although my painting was inspired by the Karoo aloe, also known as 'bitter aloe'. These plants can reach a height of 5m and can be found right across South Africa, from the east to the west. Some medicinal products are made from it. More than 500 aloe species are found world wide. About 120 of these species are found in South Africa. |
