Reference 7par About "Two Parrots" I painted this image from a photograph that I took at the Tygerberg Zoo, near Cape Town SA. The photo was taken at the precise moment when the one ruffled its feathers, creating a beautiful contrast against the smooth featherly surface of the neighbouring bird. I used acrylic paste and oxides to create a tactile texture onto the board before I painted it with oils. |
