About "Uitkyk Wine Estate Stellenbosch"

I did this painting in about 2006. It is a very special painting to me.This is such a beautiful place and I have painted here many times, with my kids running around in the stunning gardens. Sadly, it has been the scene of a recent Stellenbosch farm murder(24 October 2017). So terrible that there is so much violence in this country.

About Lindsay

I'm a Graphic Designer but Oil Painting has always been my passion. I love the use of bright color and loose brush strokes. My inspiration comes from the things I see around me, kids playing, the sea, mountains, interesting objects, and the human body. I have done various part-time courses at Ruth Prowse School of Art.
I don't paint as much as I would like to as I have three daughters who keep me busy, but whenever I have a moment, you will find me in my studio, painting.
