Pieter van Heerden was born and raised in Gauteng, South Africa. Since childhood the beauty of nature has made a deep impression on him. After military service and further studies in theology, the longing to become an artist was so strong that he decided to attend private art classes. Since 1996 art has become his passion and he enjoys doing art on different themes. Success has not come easy to Pieter but he now has paintings in private collections in Europe, America, and Australia, as well as South Africa of course.
