About "Veronique"

"She sprouted love like flowers. Grew a garden in her mind, and even on the darkest days, from her smile the sun still shined". (Erin Hanson)
During the Covid 19 pandemic I decided 2 take a break from serious fine-art and decided to develop my own naive character. During the 10 months following the Covid pandemic I drew, and painted more that 600 little faces.
I found this was a way to " escape" the harsh reality of Covid. I also believe our inner child is an artist, and I believe the inner child wants to share her honest, naive, unblemished version of the world, and life.

About Sannette

Also known as Sannette Fourie. I'm passionate about women, children, and colour. Colour is my vehicle to get the viewer's attention to connect with the emotion, the expression, to look deep within themselves and connect with whatever moves them. There is something of everybody in my paintings. I'm fascinated by the contrast that the female form presents. The softness of their skin, the roundness of their form, their vulnerability; compared to how strong their characters are, their souls, how much they can survive, how many times they can start over.
