About "View of Drakensberg with Receding Shadows."

The view from Little Switzerland Resort, in the early morning Rising Sun creating shadows, which were receding and leaving the Valley below in bright colours, all the way to the Drakensberg.

About Chris

Chris Watcham

Chris paints in oil, scenes of Landscape, and Wild Life, capturing moments of sunsets, and scenes with animals being there for a moment, which is why he set his Website up as mymomentsintime He paints in washes of Oil colour, building up Colour, to give life to his paintings and a three dimensional feel and a feel of real depth and colour perspective.
With his extensive travels and adventures all over the world, Chris finds South Africa and neighbouring Countries, to be so inspiring and an Artists paradise. He has painted scenes from the Wild Coast, Natal Drakensberg, Magaliesberg, Pilanesberg, Kruger Park, and his favourite Wilderness of the Kalahari in Botswana and also Namibia. Chris farmed in Botswana until recently, when he sadly sold his Childhood dream. His Family are all still living in Botswana.

The strongest influence in my life was growing up in, and getting to know, the untouched Wilderness of the Kalahari in Botswana, in the early 1950[0x1]s. Hunting with Bushman as a small boy, and Farming as a young man, taught me a respect and love for that never ending Savannah of that great Wilderness, never to be seen again on the same untouched and vast scale. I thank our Maker for that privilege of seeing it then, and now for the opportunity to express that love in my artwork..
