About Annette

Annette Du Plessis

Nature, people and beauty all around speak to me of God and inspire me to paint. Our farm in Tulbagh is surely a heavenly place for any artist. Mountains, trees, fruit, dams, vehicles, farmworkers, houses; everywhere are magnificent scenes. To paint is my way of praise and worship. My work is mostly colourful and lively. I love landscapes most of all. Lately, however, ripe and luscious fruit have inspired me. I pick the fruit, I enjoy its smell and colour and shape. Then I paint it. Sometimes for several days.
