About "Waiting for the Queue" From a photograph by Jurgen Schadeberg. Historical aspects of the fifties in Sophiatown, Johannesburg, that was later flattened in the course of Apartheid. There was such a richness of culture and character. Something in his face speaks of the coming doom. I love the idea that such a simple medium can capture soul. |
