About "Wathaba Cow and Calf"

We were on a hike in Mpumalanga when I spotted this cow and her calf - I made some sketches, took some photos and completed this charming scene in my studio at home.

About Karin

Karin Rademeyer

Karin grew up on the Highveld and always finds inspiration in the veld colours of higher and dryer landscapes. She was interested in fine arts since a very young age but only started to paint full-time after an early retirement from a very successful teaching career. In the late 70's and early 80's she was a member of the Pretoria Art Society.
She trained with Hilary Keegan for two years and then did some workshops with successful artists like professor Joseph Schmaman and her mentor, Louis Audi.
She does a wide variety of genres which include portraits of children and adults in their natural surroundings.
She has travelled extensively and her work is represented in collections in Australia, the UK, Canada and in Sweden.
She has taken part in numerous group exhibitions and has had one solo exhibition.
She always aspires to respect the formal elements of the art of painting, namely composition, colour, tone, form and line.

Karin writes: Most of my paintings are framed with a double frame. The frame is included in the quoted price. If you would like it unframed we can negotiate a price reduction of more or less 20%.
