Masks fascinate me because we all wear them most of the time, to prevent others from seeing our vulnerability, and sometimes to prevent us from seeing other people as they really are.

About Jeanette

I am inspired by beauty of all kinds, from spectacular nature scenes to everyday "plain" objects with their own story to tell. We are all complex beings and I find exploring detail as interesting as looking for the meaning in the "big picture".
Although I don't paint full-time, creating art is a constant niggle that I have to come back to, even after a long absence. Something seems to grow in me in the absences, and when I start to paint again, it's often totally different from when I stopped.
I believe we all should do something to make the world a better place, and bringing beauty to others is my small attempt.
