About Malize

Malize Pretorius

Malize Pretorius lives in Faerie Glen, Pretoria, South Africa.
He has 40 years experience as a painter and
photographer. He is also a keen bonzai tree grower, and has a superb collection of gemstones.

Malize is inspired by the textures and rustic colours of buildings and old vehicles. Talent - as well as his qualifications in photography, architectural drawing and fine arts - empowers him to capture masterpieces on canvas and in photographs.

According to Malize, the greatest challenge for him as an artist, is to capture the ambience and deja-vu feeling that he wants to portray in his artwork. He accomplishes this by his brilliant use of colour.

As a photographer, he is known for his keen eye for the unusual, as well as his artistic and technical excellence. He covers a wide spectrum of subjects, ranging from wedding photography, functions and groups to landscapes and urban scenes.
