About Royalene
This is the very last available 6 works on offer from Royalene's brush. That included the Only 2 left of Sletties. Last available works are captured in a book and will ONLY see as a set.
Royalene wrote a little book, featuring 7 portraits, pallet knife work. The 7 portraits in the book illustrate a particularly sad time of my life: I painted my pain onto canvas, thinking it would then be out of me and on canvas. Did not happen. So I wrote in words hoping that maybe someone out there could learn from my journey. The 7 portraits need to stay together: they show that a broken person can heal and grow back to health. This is why I have refused to split the portraits, I really want them to stay together. Royalens is the youngest of six children She was in Standerton on the same day as the arrival of the British Royal family in South Africa in 1947 - therefore the name Royalene.
Royalene started her career as a graphic designer after matric. 1965: early work was in brush and acrylic, covering a wide range of subject matter. Her professional work developed later, using palette-knife and oils, and her flowers took on a bold and distinctive style. Private collection: Sandy Ngema, the Chris Hani family, and the Spillhaus private homestead. Corporate companies, amongst others BMW The artist captures the very essence of floral beauty and splendor in colour. Her large pieces portray her unique and authentic style.
