About Achmat

It was whilst I was reciting the Quraan, a ritual I perform every Thursday night, that the inspiration came to create Islamic art. It was the dawn of a journey that transported me beyond man[0x1]s mundane existence. I have never since then lacked the infusion of ideas and creativity which absorbs me every time I pick up my paintbrush. Through the grace of the Almighty Allah, I am still on this journey,
a road that I will never ever tire of travelling. Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the wonderful gift that Allah has given me , and pray that it will stay with me, Inshallah[0x1]
