About Kat

Willem (KAT) Snyman was born in 1954 in Dewetsdorp East of Bloemfontein in the central region of South Africa. Aviation and Military art. He traces his interest in aviation to his childhood. Knowledge of his subject matter came from reading and model building at an early age. He joined the South-African Army where he gathers valuable first-hand knowledge as an instructor in Armour subjects and aircraft recognition. Although he has painted a wide variety of military subjects, his primary interest is in military aviation; especially South-African Air Force vintage aircraft. He has work on display in the S A Armour Museum[0x1]s main entrance. (Development of Armour) and S A Police Services Free State Air Wing. Wild Life Beside his interest in aviation he enjoys nature and loves to make sketches of wild life in pastel.
