About Nelson
Nelson Ferreira was born in Klerksdorp - South Africa, in 1975. Art is an expression of yourself.
I studied at the School of Fine Arts in Porto - Portugal 1990-1992, and due to life circumstances, left the art world until a few years ago. After 3 years as an Art Auctioneer and traveling the world, talking about artists, and seeing their works in the world's largest Museums such as the Hermitage in Russia, the Museum of Modern Art - Dubrovnik, Croatia, Sistine Chapel - Vatican, Rijks Museum - Amsterdam, Dali Museum - Barcelona, Picasso Museum - Barcelona, Joan Miro Foundation - Barcelona, and many more around the world, I find that I have discovered my true passion in life which is to express my self through art and be able to reach the level of the great masters, such as Rembrandt, Picasso, Dali, and many more. Each one in their own way improved or created an art form or perfected a Printmaking technique and made a mark in the History of Art. I am ready to be part of the History of Art, so I want to make my mark like the great Masters who have inspired me. As a new release artist, self-taught, I really do enjoy creating works full of texture, full of colour, and full of positive energy and passing that passion into line, form, & dimension, in symphony with the essentials of life.
My Mark in the Art World.
