About "Lily Light"

These lilies grow in my garden and in my mind I started planning how to paint this flower to portray it's beauty . I wanted to show-case the lily and to paint something different. So here is the end result. A little abstract to realism, a famous challenge of mine to achieve the balance between the two. I hope this brings pleasure to your eyes.

I was born in East London, South Africa and have lived here all my life. I am married and I have three children who are all married now. I also have three beautiful granddaughters and two lovely grandsons.

I love to paint in oils and to experiment with colour and realism. I am blessed to have a lovely sunny studio from which I work and have spent many happy hours in it.
