About "Play"

Inspired by an actual Nebula far, far away, "Play" is the latest Artwork in a series of pieces exploring the magnificence that is Space.
"Play" was "the other idea" that I had when, earlier this year I was commissioned to do a painting where I had to only make use of the splash technique. The root of the idea was Spiritually based and addresses our search for larger, more complex answers on the World Wide Web.
If it is said that every artwork is the evidence of a magnificent struggle, then "Play" was my Everest. Technically it was an absolute challenge to execute and I found myself more than often sitting on the studio floor, staring at the canvas in blank bewilderment.
I know that one can never say what Creative excursions the next canvas will bring, but for now, at this moment, I can only quote the tourist in Shirley Valentine when they returned from their holiday in Greece, "Never again, Douglas, never again".
