About Marlene

My love for art started very early in my life and I had the good fortune to visit the art galleries in Europe where I could see the old masters and how they were able to make magic with light and dark on canvas.
The movement and beauty of both clouds and ocean has always fascinated me and I try to capture the subtleties and delicacy of the ever changing color and light in my paintings.
I have worked with pewter relief modeling for many years and recently decided to combine oil paint and pewter with surprising results.
