About "Silent Flamenco"

The discipline and poise of a flamenco dancer has always fascinated me. The spanish dance is one that can be undertaken alone, and which remains as mysterious as it does exact and structured. The dancer becomes lost in the beat and passion of the music, lapsing into a silent world of bodily expression. I wanted to capture this mysterious, and silent part which people seldom see, hence the dancer is turned away from the viewer to capture this essence.
