About Ronnie
My paintings celebrate the simple joy and subtle nuances of life
I have been painting for more than 30 years. I have exhibited extensively in this time, having solo exhibitions and participating in many group exhibitions in major cities in South Africa. I have also had a one-man exhibition in Florida, USA and have collectors throughout the world.
My colour palette is strong and vibrant; I use a range of colours from saturated primary, secondary and tertiaries, right through to muted earth tones in some paintings. Colour is an important element in my work.
From early in my art career I have explored the recurring theme of women and human relationships.
My recent work reflects the love, mystery and solitude of modern Women which I refer to as Modern Goddesses. They have anonymous faces and fluid bodies,they transcend reality and express the feminine aspect of human nature.
They reflect the graceful movements of human emotion where warmth,charm, joy and love reside.
The Modern Goddesses, in my paintings celebratemothers, sisters,
daughters, lovers, wives and friends.
There is an element of whimsy and fantasy to my work- I transform and interpret information or reference into personal visual statements where the viewer can relate on a personal, subconscious and emotional level.

I use your date of birth,astrological signs, guardian angels, elementals, gods, goddesses,totem animals, archetypes,flowers, colours, crystals, instruments, and elements etc.
I collect information and reference,I then connect to you physically and then paint a unique and customised artwork that speaks to your very Soul.
