About "04 Guardian Sow – Fine Art Alu.Dibond Giclée"

This work developed around the theme of protection -- both instinctive and relational.

At the center is a resting sow, surrounded by her young, forming a structure of quiet containment. The composition is built not around movement, but around presence: a shared space where vulnerability and strength exist together. The piglets are held within the body and attention of the mother, not only physically, but through a field of awareness that extends outward.

While working on this piece, I found myself reflecting on my relationship with my sisters. Not in a literal sense, but through the underlying dynamics of closeness, protection, and the unspoken ways in which we hold one another over time. The painting became a way of exploring that connection through the language of animal presence rather than narrative.

In Solar Realism, I focus on how light, structure, and relational tension reveal the internal life of a subject. Here, the tension exists between rest and alertness, between softness and vigilance -- a balance that feels both grounded and enduring.

The original painting has been sold.
Fine-art giclee prints are available in multiple larger sizes.
This large-format aluminium giclee presents Guardian Sow with a strong sense of presence and durability.

The work explores protection, structure, and relational closeness within a natural setting. The rigid dibond surface enhances detail and tonal depth, allowing the composition to retain its quiet strength at scale.

Selected to remain close in proportion to the original painting, this format offers a balance between visual impact and practical international shipping.

Each piece is signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
