intrigued by the complexities of simplicity and the simplicity of complexity. Born Adrian du Plessis. 16/10/1953. florida. artistic career started in 1988 after leaving the civil aviation industry to study interior design at DESIGN CENTER, greenside, johannesburg, through a scholarship awarded by the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INTERIOR DESIGN. earning the MOST INNOVATIVE DESIGN award in 1990. an interest in the innovative application of tiles in the mosaic tradition developed and MOSAIC ART WORKS was founded in the early 1990's, to offer this art form to architects, designers and home owners. whilst still actively involved in mosaic works, an eclectic range of design, art and if you will,craft, projects has lead to the current passion of 'brush to canvas'
