About Kareni

Kareni Bester, born in 1970 and grew up on a Vredendal farm, located on the South African West Coast. After high school, she earned a 4 year National Higher Diploma in Town and Regional Planning.
Kareni has no formal art training but attended workshops and art classes, over the years taking part in group exhibitions in Somerset West and Vredendal. She taught art at the International School for several years but preferred to focus on her own development as an artist.
Currently working predominantly in acrylic, but started out her art journey in watercolours and oils, as a versatile artist Kareni enjoys painting different subjects.
Living in Somerset West, Western Cape.
Her work can be seen online and at galleries.
