About Peter

My architectural training has led me to appreciate painting historic buildings in and around Durban, mainly in watercolours however having a great appreciation for the outdoors landscapes, seascapes, birds and wildlife are part of my portfolio. The subject matter of my oil paintings focuses on the dramatic interplay of light at various times of the day on our beautiful berg landscapes. My watercolours of the same subject matter are softer, ethereal and evocative. I like to use bold colour in my still life oil paintings so they are rich and colourful.
