About Martin

Martin Bakker

Martin Nicolaas Bakker lives in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa with his wife Andrea and sons Zac and Jake. He studied graphic fine art at the Port Elizabeth technicon under Leon De Bliquey and Alexander Podlascheck.
He is a keen surfer and his passion for the ocean and nature is evident in his work. He draws inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and waves that make Jeffreys Bay one of the worlds famous surf spots.
His art spans various mediums including etchings, oil and acrylics. He has been the recipient of numerous awards over the past years.
