About Belinda
I was fortunate enough to grow up on a coastal farm in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. This instilled in me a love and deep connection to the earth.I loved the wide open spaces being on a farm brings and have always felt motivated by replicating the colours I see in my surroundings.
I primarily enjoy working on large canvases especially on seascapes and landscapes. I also have a passion for Koi fish, and am inspired by their colours and quick movements. I find them fascinating!
My family and I moved to Durban in 2005 and enjoyed the relaxed life that coastal living brings. We have subsequently moved to Zambia, then Nigeria and now Ethiopia where life is very interesting and the new reference is diverse! My husband's job takes us all over Africa.
I love the freedom and expression I find when I am painting.
