About Frans
I come from a small village called Ga-Molapo in Limpopo,South Africa. I'm from a poor family background and as a child I wanted all the beautiful toys that I saw in the magazines. Unfortunately we did not have the means to afford such luxuries and I had to use whatever resources I had available to make my own toys. I would use mud,wire,tin or carton (basically anything I could find.) I started selling some of the toys to the kids in my village and tried to generate a small income for myself. My passion for art started at an early age and it was only when I went to High School that my true talent emerged.My teacher encouraged me to study fine art after I finished High School I did fine art at the Wits Technikon but because of financial difficulty I was not able to reach that dream. I still have much to learn,art is not a hobby like some might think.My art reflects my heritage,spirit,lifestyle and my soul.
