About Margaret Palane

Born in 1956 in Bloemfontein in South Africa's Free State. Always interested in wildlife virtually from birth, following in the footsteps of my father whilst developing an interest in art from early childhood. Many of my paintings were displayed proudly at my school. Attended the Johannesburg School of Art and Ballet in the early 1970s, honing my skills whilst developing a true sense of colors and hues. I now specialize in wild animals, combining my love for wildlife with the ability to represent animals in my paintings. Grown and bred an African girl, my love for the African sunshine, the vast variety of wildlife and the scenes which change with the seasons to infuse my paintings, showing the delicate balance in nature which goes beyond the Big Five
