About Susan

I was born in Mussina 1965.At the age of 10 I won my first art competition and received a whole 50cents! In 2005 I won a National arts competition, and thankfully received more than 50cents this time around!
A Japanese saying: `White hyacinths for the one Jen, and a bread for the other Jen`...we have to surround us with the beautiful necessities of live!We only have one life on earth, given to us to make the most of it.
I get inspired by both the positive and negative around me. And find it very difficult to stick with one style,for emotion plays a key role when I paint.
I had five years private art classes with the well-known sculpture and artist Spies Venter, my teacher and mentor.Through his teachings I found that art could also heal, using negative energy positively.I got involved with upliftment as I believe that we are here on earth to serve and grow.I have a tremendous love for nature,and any human being touched by sorrow.
Some of my works were exhibited at the American embassy,and were also sold by Barry Blythe, International Art collector and dealer.
I participated in art exhibitions across the country, and will hopefully die with a paintbrush in my hand!
