I am inspired by objects, colours, and light , focussing at times more on the detail of an aspect of a scene than the scene as a whole. Subjects in and around my home are used, sometimes in complicated compositions. Light colour, composition and perspective becomes as important to me as the subject matter. This along with capturing the essence of the subject is of utmost importance to me. I do not want to change the world, influence or shock people, nor make social comments. All I aim for is to enable someone else to see the beauty and share the enjoyment that is to be derived from everyday scenes and objects all around us.
