Reference Autumn About "Autumn Basket" When the leaves start to change colour at the beginning of Autumn, I watch them intensely and with deep fascination. This painting was inspired by the beautiful, rich colours of the Japanese Maple - everything from yellow to orange to brown to deep burgundy. They never fail to move me. |

I love all things from Nature - the seasons, leaves, flowers, vegetables, fruit, herbs, trees, earth, moon, sky. As well, I am intrigued by the world of magick: fairies, elves, sprites, dragons and mages. Much of our folklore has intertwined these two elements - Nature and Fantasy, and to bring them together on a canvas is very satisfying. I love to cook and my kitchen is the centre of my home, and I am therefore often inspired to paint everyday elements from my kitchen.
