1959 born in Kuruman, Kalahari. Lived on a farm till 8 years old. Moved to Jeffrey's Bay. Qualified as a teacher and spesialised in Remedial Education at UPE. Taught for 15 years, retired and started fabric painting. Had own paint factory and taught 1000's of ladies all over the country. Did articles for Rooi Rose and many more for Threads and Crafts. Married Bobbie Pickard in 1992. In 2003 we retired in the West Coast. Started painting in oils in 2005. Had classes with Ferina Visser, well known artist. Subjects vary and inspiration comes from perception, mind and soul. Bold, large and colourful work is what I do.
